A bit of poetic partisan ranting before high energy collisions might begin in October…
is this wise, [17]
little white lies, [1][6][7][8]
one scientist cries, [3]
in time everyone dies,
but to win a Nobel prize… [6]
safety they tried to infer,
a disaster they tried to deter,
Wagner[5] and Sancho[1] and Plaga[4] and Rössler[2][3],
nobel their concerns were,
but their concerns CERN did spurn and slur[6]
risk CERN did censor,[1][7][9]
populace did get tenser,
holes blacker than crows? [2]
strange particle mass grows? [5]
earth to get much denser?
will black holes we bake? [10][11]
would strange matter break?
could possible harm they make? [12]
did Steven Hawking blunder? [2][14][15][16]
could Earth be taken under?
will our world they take?[13]
or just secrets of nature to tame,
no black holes to grow from flame?[19]
no strange matter condensing earth?
no unstoppable growth given birth?
or just no one left to blame?
law suits filed,[5]
scientists riled,[18]
collisions to begin,
nobel prizes to win,
god to have smiled? [17]

LHC switched on, world still here.. Unfortunately for some no black holes were created and Satan didn’t use it as an inter dimensional stargate to Earth, ah well you can’t win ‘em all.

High energy collisions have kljkljkl not begun. Even after high energy collission begin the world will still be here. The question is will the world be the same and for how long?

I invented yet another way to blow up the Collider.
Helium in the cooling system is too low density to detonate as nuclear explosives. (3 HE4 — C12). But if it will result in the cavity of the accelerator and thrust with a accelerated protons, it would certainly receive the necessary temperature. But it will get needed pressure - because the ring accelerator - this is actually tokomak( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokamak) , that is the same as ITER - and it helium plasma can be kept by magnetic field that there is also and designed for retention. It is unlikely that such an explosion would be particularly strong, but the accelerator can be destroyed.
It is just idea of layman, not a strong physics.

A simple person if asked ‘what is real’, ‘what is truth’, ‘what is beauty’ could give you an easy answer. A cosmologist is that person accredited with being able to explain a very tiny subset of what is real with a set of equations specifically formulated to describe what is measured.
Within that tiny subset of what is real via equations are things called paradox and anomaly. As good as any known theory is it still falls far short of being able to describe what is real and why things work. That is just cosmology.
There is every other branch of science to some degree more or less unable to give a simple answer to … what is real?

there’s no way that L. Sancho fits the definition. BTW JTankers, the person whose face appears in your webpage below the title “Luis Sancho, Co-Plaintiff” is NOT Luis Sancho. blah, blah, blah is about all I would expect from anyone advocating for the scientific community. From the article quote:- “Vanishingly few researchers still advocate any of a handful of alternative cosmologies, but professional cosmologists generally agree that the big bang best explains observations.”

Basically scientists have given up and have decided to import maybe only the second most destructive thing in the universe. A rip or a white hole has not even been discussed because it is considered to be well within the safe Planck energy limit. There is no way of knowing if this will be the equivalent of feeding the world through a shredding machine via a black hole or incineration by a opening a white hole when the Lhc burns a hole in reality.
In the formation of a stellar black hole at least two thirds of the mass of a star explodes outwards. This machine is not a genuine attempt to imitate nature … it is an out and out lie which is why I have such low expectations of the sciences blah, blah, blah.
